Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

intheline lets you collect quotes and share the ones you choose. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • From Google when you sign in: your name, email address, and Google account ID.
  • What you enter: your username, your display settings (font and theme), and your quotes with their source, page, notes, and visibility setting.
  • Technical data: a session cookie and a security (CSRF) cookie, both required for the site to work. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and time of request.

We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies, and we do not sell your data.

How we use it

Only to run the service: to sign you in, store and show your quotes, generate share images for quotes you share, keep the service secure, and reply when you contact us.

What others can see

Your quotes are private. Nothing you save is listed anywhere on the site. If you turn on link sharing for a quote, anyone who has its link can see that quote, its source, and its share image (but not your name or username), including in link previews in apps. We ask search engines not to index shared quotes. People who open a shared link and sign in can save a copy to their own library; that copy is theirs and stays even if you later stop sharing or delete your quote or account. Your notes are never shown to others.

Who processes it

  • Google Cloud — hosting (United States)
  • Supabase — database (United States)
  • Cloudflare — content delivery and security
  • Google — sign-in

Your data is stored in the United States. If you live elsewhere, it is transferred there to provide the service.

How long we keep it

Until you delete it. Deleting a quote removes it immediately. Deleting your account (in Settings) removes your account and all your quotes immediately. Copies may remain in backups for a limited time before they are overwritten.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law), you can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your data, or object to how we use it. You can edit or delete your quotes and account yourself at any time; for anything else, contact us. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The service is not for anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
